ABOUT OUR SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Every summer, Safran Optics 1 invites several bright, hardworking university students to join our team through participation in a paid summer internship program. This program allows students to gain realistic exposure to a fast-paced corporate environment with many opportunities to make an impact. Whether part of our Engineering, Marketing, Quality, or Finance team, interns will be exposed to real world tasks of the respective department – not as a coffee retriever. This summer Internship program offers students exposure to leading-edge technology through direct participation in the research and development of Safran Optics 1 products such as hand-held camera systems (thermal, visible, infrared) and laser (range finders, aiming lasers, laser illumination) systems. Our interns work closely with members of our staff and are given tasks that would otherwise be completed by regular full-time employees. We do not disguise busy work as “special” intern projects. As a Safran Optics 1 intern, you will have the opportunity to perform meaningful work assignments that benefit our organization. Given the variety of ongoing projects, interns are often able to work with the staff to guide their summer experience towards areas of specific interest.
